nickgreen90125 The spirit of 70s Mike Oldfield lives in in this stunning instrumental journey through surreal pastoral landscapes. If I say, 'Think Hergest Ridge / Ommadawn / Taurus' that's only partly true - Taylor is his own musician and goes places Mike never explored. Probably the most original of all the Oldfield apostles - this is an absolute diamond of a find. Buy it! Favorite track: Onsongo.

Carsten Pieper Yet another Oldfield-clon...,er, -revivalist following the Reed way (that I enjoyed travelling along)? But now, you might say, Robert Reed followed Andrew Taylor following early Mike, as this album has been released in 2011. I only noticed it now... ;-) Favorite track: Onsongo.

dessywalsh I love this album so much. Yes it is inspired by Mike's early material but it's also it's own thing. It paints a picture of an idealistic English landscape in similar fashion to Mr. O but definitely not a clone. Pastoral goodness abounds! Favorite track: Podhu & Aruwa.

about

Mohribold, is an epic musical tapestry that weaves between a multitude of genres. The hour plus of music is crammed with a detail and energy that seems to come from another realm.

There are no discernible lyrics here, instead an array of instruments speak a language native to the deep, murky and mysterious wilds of Norfolk. But this is a Norfolk populated by African drums and South-American ukuleles and it's landscape of bouzoukis, old organs, trumpets and assorted percussion create something of a psych-folk symphony.

about

Andrew Taylor Norwich

"Sometimes I like to lose myself whilst playing music, a lot of different stuff comes out. I learnt guitar playing along to Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells. My first instrument was made from a cereal box, a kitchen roll tube and some elastic bands".
